Alan Jones pleads not guilty to indecent assault and sexual touching charges

Alan Jones, 85, has pleaded not guilty to 19 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching without consent. The charges involve allegations from five men spanning a 17-year period between 2003 and 2020.

During the trial at the Downing Centre Local Court, a complainant referred to as “H” testified that Jones touched his upper back and moved his hand down to his buttocks during a social event. The complainant stated the contact was non-consensual.

A witness, a former colleague of the complainant, testified that the man appeared “stunned and upset” after the incident. She further denied defense claims that she had exaggerated her account of the conversation when speaking to police several years later.
