Alan Lescano joins Vasco da Gama from Argentinos Juniors
Vasco da Gama has officially presented Argentine midfielder Alan Lescano as their fifth reinforcement of the current transfer window. The 24-year-old joins from Argentinos Juniors on a contract that runs until December 2029. The transfer fee is reported to be approximately US$ 7 million (R$ 36 million).
Lescano, who was once given his professional debut by Diego Maradona at Gimnasia y Esgrima, is expected to be eligible for immediate selection. He has already been regularized with the CBF and could debut this Saturday in the match against Grêmio.
During his presentation, Lescano noted his versatility, stating that while he can play as a central midfielder or a defensive midfielder, he is most comfortable in an attacking midfield role. The club's scouting department highlighted his ability to arrive in the opponent's area and his proficiency in long-distance shooting as key assets to help the team move away from the relegation zone.
