Alan Lescano's Transfer Rights Negotiated by Gimnasia and Argentinos

Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (El Lobo) has opened negotiations with Argentinos Juniors (El Bicho) to acquire the remaining 50% of midfielder Alan Lescano's economic rights, seeking full ownership of his transfer pass. The original 2023 agreement sold half of Lescano's rights to Argentinos for US$2.5 million and included clauses that have complicated subsequent moves.

Earlier this year Boca Juniors attempted a roughly US$10 million transfer, but the deal collapsed because of the contractual restrictions between Gimnasia and Argentinos. Both clubs now aim to reach a new understanding that would free Lescano for future offers, with interest reported from clubs in the Middle East and Brazil. Lescano said, “Se habló mucho y algunas cosas no fueran ciertas. No tenía mi contrato arreglado con Boca. Al contrario, nunca me llamaron. Sí se comunicaron con mi representante.”
