Alan Mozo joins Cruz Azul on loan from Pachuca

Cruz Azul has officially announced the signing of defender Alan Mozo. The 29-year-old arrives from Pachuca on a one-year loan with an option to purchase. Mozo, who has previously played for Pumas, Chivas, and Pachuca, also has experience with the Mexican National Team.

Mozo joins the squad following a period of recovery from a tibia and fibula fracture sustained earlier this year. He is expected to compete for a position under manager Joel Huiqui and may be available for selection as early as this coming Sunday against Santos Laguna.

Mozo is the third significant signing for Cruz Azul in this transfer window, joining Juan José Calero and Alan Montes. Following the announcement, teammate Chiquete Orozco was noted as the only player from the current squad to publicly welcome him on social media.
