Alan Rick Secures Mayor’s Backing for 2026 Governorship Bid and Announces Health Funding in Acre

Mayor Zequinha Lima of Cruzeiro do Sul announced on Monday that he will officially support Senator Alan Rick’s pre‑candidacy for the Acre governorship in the 2026 elections. The event, held at the city’s AABB sports complex, gathered local deputies, councilors and party leaders, underscoring the political weight of the second‑largest city in the state for Rick’s upcoming campaign.

Separately, Senator Alan Rick visited the Casa de Acolhida Souza Araújo in Rio Branco and announced the first R$1.5 million tranche of a nearly R$10 million agreement with the municipal government and Hospital Santa Juliana. The funds will expand elective surgeries at the hospital. Rick also allocated R$300 000 for a new service vehicle and R$350 000 for renovations at the Casa, which houses residents recovering from leprosy. These actions highlight Rick’s focus on health‑care improvements alongside his political ambitions in Acre.
