British businessman and ‘The Apprentice’ star Lord Alan Sugar has criticized American Express, calling the company ‘a bunch of idiots’ after being denied an increase to his credit limit.

Sugar, who has a reported net worth of £1.138 billion, stated on X that despite speaking with a representative in Brighton who was aware of his financial status, the request was refused due to the company’s automated systems. He defended his need for a credit limit increase by noting that he does not carry large amounts of cash for transactions.
