Alan Ważny Qualifies for Main Draw at Enea Poznań Open
The qualifying tournament for the 2026 Enea Poznań Open began on 14 June at the Park Tenisowy Olimpia in Poznań. Twenty‑four players competed for eight spots in the main draw. Czech youngster Maxim Mrva and other international entrants were among the field.
Polish teenager Alan Ważny emerged as the only Polish player to win a place in the main draw. After a rain‑delayed start, Ważny defeated Denys Jewsiejew in the opening round and then beat fellow Rzeszów native Karol Filar, the reigning Polish champion, 6‑2, 7‑5 in the final qualifying match. His victory secured the sole Polish qualification for the tournament.
Other Polish contenders—Karol Filar, Jan Sadzik, Filip Pieczonka and Aleksander Błuś—were eliminated in the qualifiers. The event sets the stage for the main draw of the challenger tournament later in the week.
