Alanis Guillen Cast as Lead in Globoplay’s New Telenovela “Paraíso Perdido”
Actress Alanis Guillen has been selected to headline Globoplay’s upcoming original telenovela “Paraíso Perdido”, taking the role of Maria Cecília. She replaces Marina Ruy Barbosa, who withdrew after schedule conflicts prevented a definitive agreement. Guillen earned the part after her praised performance as Lorena in “Três Graças” and succeeding in a new round of screen tests. The series, written by George Moura and Sergio Goldenberg with artistic direction by Joana Jabace, is inspired by Nelson Rodrigues’ work and is slated as one of Globoplay’s flagship dramas for 2027. The cast also includes Eduardo Sterblitch as Peixoto and Alexandre Nero as Werneck. The production moves forward in pre‑production, marking Guillen’s first leading role in a Globoplay original.
