Alanya farmers demand urgent road repairs for harvest

Agricultural producers in the Şıhlar neighborhood of Alanya are protesting the poor condition of the road leading to the Atöldüğü area. Farmers report that the damaged route is making it increasingly difficult to access their fields and transport harvested goods.

Local residents state they have been requesting repairs throughout the summer months. They emphasize that the issue has become critical with the onset of the harvest season, expressing fears that crops may be left in the fields if transportation remains impossible. The producers suggest that the problem does not require massive investment but can be resolved through basic maintenance using graders and heavy machinery.

While Alanya Municipality has conducted roadwork in the Şıhlar area in previous years, including asphalt projects in 2022, the current state of the specific route used for agricultural transport has prompted renewed calls for urgent intervention to ensure the sustainability of local production.
