International Coaches Arrive for Alanya Beach Volleyball Course
The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the Turkish Volleyball Federation are running a five‑day beach volleyball coaching course at the 23 Projects Alanya International Beach Sports Center, which has been designated a Beach Volleyball Centre of Excellence. Dr. Ahmed Amr Atta serves as the course instructor. Thirty participants – men and women from Turkey, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Spain and Belarus – are attending. On the opening day, Alanya mayor’s advisor Abdurrahman Açıkalın met the trainees and briefed them on the facilities. The program, supported by the Turkish National Olympic Committee, Alanya Municipality, the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation and Boardee Sports Organization, combines theoretical lectures and practical sessions covering the sport’s history, techniques, coaching roles, modern training methods, team building, video analysis and long‑term planning. Participants will be assessed through standardized theory and practical examinations at the end of the course.
