Alanya hosts 35th International Triathlon with record participation

The 35th International Alanya Triathlon has commenced in Turkey, featuring record-breaking participation with over 600 athletes. Organized by the Turkish Triathlon Federation and Alanya Municipality, the event includes the European Triathlon Cup, the Paratriathlon World Cup, and various age group and public categories.

In the European Triathlon Cup Elite Women's category, Anouk Danna from Switzerland secured first place, followed by Anabel Knoll of Germany in second and Isabella Hayes of the United Kingdom in third. In the Elite Men's category, Martin Hubner of France took first place, with Sam Hart of the United Kingdom finishing second and Dmitrii Karpeev of Russia in third.

The event also features a Public Triathlon with special categories designed to strengthen family bonds through parent and child stages. Officials noted that the high turnout, including 108 elite athletes from 25 different countries, provides a significant boost to the local economy and reinforces Alanya's role in promoting triathlon sports.
