Alanya hosts fifth International Tropical Fruit Festival

The fifth International Alanya Tropical Fruit Festival took place from October 9 to 11, transforming the city into a hub for gastronomy, culture, art, and music. Under the theme ‘A Tropical Story from the Caribbean to Alanya,’ the event aimed to showcase Alanya’s agricultural diversity and its integration of tropical farming with tourism.

Local producers highlighted products such as avocado and banana through exhibition stands, workshops, and tasting competitions. The festival also featured international culinary influences, with representatives from the Philippines and Kazakhstan sharing their traditional cuisines alongside local flavors.

The event held significant diplomatic presence, including the participation of the Ambassador of Nicaragua, Tatiana Daniela García Silva, the Ambassador of Guatemala, Eduardo Enrique Hernandez Recinos, and representatives from the Panamanian Embassy. Local officials, including Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik and various political representatives, also attended the festivities.
