Alanya International Jazz Festival celebrates 20th anniversary

The 20th Alanya International Jazz Festival has been announced by the Alanya Municipality. Following a postponement last year due to fires, the festival is scheduled to take place on September 12, 17, 18, 19, and 20, 2026.

Set against the historic backdrop of the Seljuk-era Kızılkule and Alanya Castle, the event is described as one of Turkey’s longest-running jazz festivals. The free organization will feature performances from four Turkish and four international artists over four days.

During the press conference, Festival Coordinator Abdurrahman Açıkalın highlighted the event's longevity and its role in bringing world-class jazz musicians to the Mediterranean coast. Deputy Mayor Murat Levent Koçak also noted the intersection of the festival with local cultural heritage, mentioning the municipality's efforts to preserve traditional Alanya silk production.
