Alanya Municipality hosts Gedevet Yayla Günleri cultural event

Alanya Municipality organized the Gedevet Yayla Günleri at the Gedevet Plateau Park Orman to preserve the region's cultural values and historical memory. The event featured a variety of artistic and historical activities designed to connect residents with the area's heritage.

The program included a black-and-white photography exhibition curated from the Alanya Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Directorate archives, showcasing social life and plateau culture from previous eras. Additionally, students from the Alanya Municipality Zeybek Course performed traditional folk dances in regional attire.

A highlight of the event was the screening of the documentary “Canlı Tanıklarından Yayla Hikâyeleri” (Plateau Stories from Living Witnesses), directed by Hayri Yenialp. The film explores Alanya's plateau culture and historical lifestyles through the accounts of individuals who witnessed those periods firsthand.
