Alanya Municipality showcases cultural heritage at Latvia's Talsi City Festival

A delegation from Alanya Municipality attended the Talsi City Festival in Latvia from 30 July to 2 August 2026. The team set up a stand displaying Alanya’s traditional silk, banana‑fiber sustainable designs and geographically‑protected local products, highlighting the city’s cultural and artisanal heritage.

During the festival the delegation gave a presentation on Alanya’s tourism potential, agricultural capacity and sustainable‑development vision, and discussed possible cooperation in culture, tourism, education and youth projects with Talsi officials. The Alanya representatives also took part in the festival’s traditional parade and appeared on a live broadcast of Kurzeme Radio, promoting the sister‑city relationship that has existed since 2006.
