Alaró celebrates Sant Roc with traditional Cossiers dances

The municipality of Alaró celebrated its Sant Roc festivities with traditional dances performed by the Cossiers. Accompanied by the Dama and the Dimoni, the group danced through twelve different locations in the town, starting from the Plaça de la Vila.

This year’s celebration marked the tenth anniversary of women participating in the Cossiers dances, following the precedent set in 2016. It also coincided with the tenth anniversary of the dance being declared a ‘Festa d’Interès Cultural’ by the Consell. The event was attended by local authorities, including Mayor Llorenç Perelló and President of the Government Marga Prohens.
