Alaric Jackson's NFL suspension reduced to one game
Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson has had his NFL suspension reduced from two games to one. The reduction follows an appeal heard by Hall of Fame linebacker and jointly appointed officer Derrick Brooks.
The suspension stems from an incident during the Rams' 37-34 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills, where Jackson punched Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb in the face. The NFL initially cited a violation of Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1, regarding acts contrary to the principles of sportsmanship.
Jackson will miss the Rams' upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals but is expected to be eligible to return to the active roster on October 19. Rams head coach Sean McVay noted that the team must make better decisions to ensure player availability. David Quessenberry is the likely replacement for the starting left tackle position during Jackson's absence.
