Alaska Airlines to launch San Diego–Loreto nonstop flights
Alaska Airlines has announced a new seasonal nonstop route between San Diego and Loreto, Mexico, marking the airline’s 50th nonstop destination from San Diego International Airport. The service coincides with the carrier celebrating 40 years of operations in the San Diego region.
Scheduled to begin on December 19, 2026, and running through April 28, 2027, the flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The route will be operated by SkyWest Airlines using Embraer E175 aircraft. Alaska Airlines will be the sole carrier providing direct service between these two locations.
San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria noted that the expansion provides more travel opportunities for residents, boosts the local economy through increased tourism, and strengthens ties with Mexico.
