Alaska Anchorage volleyball ranked fifth in GNAC preseason poll

The University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team has been ranked fifth in the 2026 Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) preseason coaches' poll. The Seawolves earned 60 points from the league's 10 head coaches.

Simon Fraser was selected as the preseason favorite with 90 points, followed by Central Washington with 88 points and Alaska Fairbanks with 84 points. Western Washington was placed fourth with 73 points. The Seawolves, who shared the GNAC crown in 2025, return nine active letterwinners for the upcoming season.

Alaska Anchorage is scheduled to begin its regular season this Thursday with matches against Chaminade and Hawaii Hilo as part of the Alaska/Hawaii Challenge.
