Alaska primary results: Wilson and Bronson advance for Republican gubernatorial nomination

Unofficial results from the Alaska primary election show Republican candidates Bernadette Wilson and Dave Bronson advancing to the general election ballot for governor. In the Democratic field, Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins and Tom Begich secured the majority of the votes, with both candidates receiving approximately double the vote count of any Republican candidate.

In the U.S. Senate race, Democrat Mary Peltola leads with 48% of the vote, followed by incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan with 42.8%. For the U.S. House of Representatives, incumbent Republican Nick Begich maintains a lead with 46.1% of the vote.

In state legislative races, Republican Jamie Allard secured a majority in House District 23, while Republican Steve Menard defeated incumbent Garret Nelson in House District 29. Because Governor Mike Dunleavy is term-limited, the gubernatorial race features a large field of candidates seeking to replace him.
