Alassio begins redevelopment of former Mattatoio della Fenarina

Redevelopment works have entered the operational phase at the former Mattatoio della Fenarina area in Alassio. Current activities include the installation of heating and cooling systems, as well as ground preparation for external paving and the delivery of topsoil for future green spaces.

The project aims to complete two historical buildings, which will feature minimal profile window frames, cocciopesto internal flooring, and new technological systems. One building is being prepared to host a bar service with a dedicated outdoor area. A new glass and steel connection will link the two buildings.

Mayor Marco Melgrati and regional councilor Rocco Invernizzi noted that the project will transform the surrounding area into an equipped urban park. The space will include large green areas, children's playgrounds, outdoor fitness zones, pedestrian paths, and social gathering spaces. The total contract value is approximately €654,545.
