Alassio launches anti‑counterfeit campaign and police seizures

The municipality of Alassio has revived its "Alassio è troppo bella per non essere vera. No al falso" campaign, aimed at preventing counterfeit goods and illegal street trading. The initiative is coordinated with the local police command, the Association of Marine Baths, the Alassio Hoteliers Association and the "Un Mare di Shopping" consortium, which distribute informational material to promote aware purchasing.

Police patrols using e‑bikes and foot patrols focus on the beachfront and the railway‑station area. Since the start of the summer season, officers have seized ten batches of illegal merchandise, six of which involve criminal offences for counterfeit items. Alassio’s Commerce Councillor Franca Giannotta praised the joint effort, stating that “the fight against counterfeiting is essential to protect legality and the work of honest operators.”
