Alassio opens lifeguard training as Romania prepares for speleology congress
In Alassio, Italy, registrations are open for a lifeguard and aquatic rescuer certification course. Organized by the Federazione Italiana Salvamento Acquatico (FISA) in collaboration with Libertas Liguria, the training is open to individuals aged 16 to 50. The qualification enables professional work in beach surveillance, inland waters, and swimming pools.
In Romania, the 52nd National Speleology Congress is scheduled to take place in Baia de Arama from September 4 to 6, 2026. Organized by Clubul de Speologie Vulcan Craiova under the Romanian Speleology Federation, the event will include pre-congress excursions from September 1 to 4. These excursions are free of charge, though participation is limited to ensure the protection and preservation of the caves.
