Alatri and Campobasso highlight school catering economics

Recent public tenders in Italy highlight the economic scale and logistical challenges of school catering services. In Alatri, a new European tender has been published for a five-year contract valued at approximately 4.032 million euros to provide catering for nursery and primary schools.

In Campobasso, a contract for school catering was recently awarded to Camst. This agreement, which began on September 1, carries an initial three-year duration with the possibility of a two-year extension. The contract specifies a cost of 6.666 euros per meal, excluding VAT, illustrating the ongoing effort to balance nutritional standards and service quality with labor and raw material costs.
