Al‑Azhar Institutes Launch Online Student Transfer System for 2026‑27 Academic Year

The Al‑Azhar network of institutes has opened an electronic portal for student transfers for the 2026‑2027 school year. Applications are accepted from 12 July 2026 until 31 December 2026 and cover pupils from second grade of primary school up to first grade of secondary school.

Parents must obtain a username and password from the institute where the student is currently enrolled, then submit the transfer request through the Al‑Azhar online gateway (https://azhar.gov.eg/login.aspx). Transfers for kindergarten (levels 1‑2) and first‑grade primary students are still processed on paper. Movement from regular to model schools is permitted only at the primary level, provided the child has completed both kindergarten stages and passed an English test overseen by the Al‑Azhar region. Within model schools, transfers between the Arabic and language sections are allowed. For secondary‑level students, after receiving preliminary electronic approval, parents must submit a signed paper request to complete the process.
