Italian regional social plan stalled, vulnerable groups face delays
Regional councilor Rosellina Madeo warned that the Regional Social Plan remains frozen at its 2022 version, leaving the 2023‑2026 programming without an approved framework. She submitted a written inquiry asking the regional government to detail the current status of the new plan, the steps still required for its approval, and the measures it will adopt to prevent social‑service programming from being tied only to historic needs. Madeo emphasized that the lack of an updated plan jeopardises the coordination of national and regional funds and threatens the timely delivery of services to fragile populations.
The councilor also requested information on how the region intends to align annual objectives, services and interventions with the actual resources allocated, ensuring that the multi‑year programming matches available funding and avoids further delays for vulnerable citizens.
