German basketball clubs BG Göttingen and Alba Berlin sign US players

BG Göttingen announced the signing of US guard Tai Bibbs on a one‑year contract. The 27‑year‑old joins the ProA side from Finnish club Kouvot Kouvola after posting averages of 16.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists last season. Head coach Martins Gulbis described Bibbs as the final piece needed for the team’s roster.

Alba Berlin confirmed a three‑year deal with US forward Joe Wieskamp, who arrives from Science City Jena. Wieskamp, a former NBA player with the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors and also experience in the Australian NBL, is praised for his shooting, rebounding and work ethic. The move adds a key acquisition to the reigning German champion ahead of the upcoming BBL and Champions League campaigns.
