Alba initiates comprehensive redesign of urban master plan
The administration of Alba, led by Mayor Alberto Gatto, has initiated a process to redesign the city’s urban master plan. The current regulation, which was definitively approved in 2016, is now ten years old and based on economic, social, and construction contexts that no longer reflect modern realities.
Rather than continuing with partial variations to address individual issues, the administration aims to undertake a comprehensive rethinking of the city’s layout. This new approach focuses on contemporary concerns such as soil consumption, mobility, and evolving ways of living in public spaces.
A key feature of this initiative is the participatory method. Following initial discussions with institutional stakeholders and professional associations, the city is opening the planning process to all citizens. In collaboration with the Part agency, dedicated meetings will be held to address the specific needs of different neighborhoods and districts, basing the new plan on the daily habits and challenges of the local population.
