Transylvania religious commemorations and local infrastructure projects in Botoșani

In Transylvania, the Romanian Orthodox Church is observing the feast of the Transylvanian Confessors, including Visarion Sarai, Sofronie of Cioara, and Oprea Miclăuș. These 18th-century figures were central to defending Orthodox faith during religious tensions. In Alba Iulia, the relics of Saint George the Pilgrim were brought to the Orthodox Cathedral for a procession and will remain available for veneration until October 22.

In Botoșani County, various religious communities are celebrating the feast of Saint Demetrius. Meanwhile, several local administrative developments are underway: ELTRANS S.A. Botoșani plans to acquire 10 street parking meters for approximately 1.11 million lei, and the Ungureni commune is preparing an 11.7 million lei investment for a new sewage network. Additionally, the Roma commune is planning the construction of a new kindergarten to replace an unsafe facility, with an estimated cost exceeding 2.45 million lei.
