Alba Iulia installs first public defibrillator in Alba Carolina Fortress

The Red Cross Alba Branch has installed the first public semi-automatic automated external defibrillator (AED) in the Alba Carolina Fortress tourist area of Alba Iulia. The device was acquired through financial support from companies Star Assembly and Star Transmission as part of the ‘Roboțelul Binelui’ campaign.

Medical professionals emphasize that rapid intervention during cardiopulmonary arrest is critical for survival. The installed device is designed for ease of use by individuals with minimal medical training, featuring simple controls to guide the user through the process via voice instructions. The Red Cross aims to expand the installation of such life-saving devices in other high-traffic public spaces throughout the county.
