Alba Iulia to promote tourism at international fairs in Sibiu and Warsaw

Alba Iulia is launching a strategic initiative to promote its historical and cultural heritage at international tourism fairs. The city will participate in the International Ecotourism Fair in Sibiu from September 24 to 27, showcasing its Roman heritage, the Alba Carolina Citadel, and local wines through interactive experiences and virtual reality.

Additionally, the city will target the Polish market by participating in the TT Warsaw International Tourism Fair at the Ptak Warsaw Expo from October 8 to 11. This effort, coordinated by the Palatul Principilor Cultural Center, aims to attract visitors from Central and Eastern Europe, following successful previous efforts in the Hungarian market.

Other regional cultural events include the XIXth Colloquiums of Contemporary Romanian Novel in Alba Iulia on September 25-26, the SIMULTAN Festival XXI at the MX Museum, and the Autumn Festival at the Romulus Vuia Ethnographic Park in Cluj-Napoca. Archaeological research milestones were also noted at Băile Figa, celebrating 20 years of studies in the salt landscape.
