ALBA Movimientos holds IV Continental Assembly in Havana

The IV Continental Assembly of ALBA Movimientos was held in Havana, Cuba, from August 6 to 9. The event brought together approximately 200 delegates representing 132 organizations from 27 different countries to discuss the defense of the Cuban Revolution and the role of socialism in the continent.

Participants focused on analyzing the current state of leftist movements in the region amidst a rise in far-right governments. The assembly aimed to address political and organizational challenges facing popular classes and to explore future political disputes within the continent. The gathering also served as a tribute to the legacy of Fidel Castro during the centenary of his birth.
