Albacete: 13,483 minors receive childhood assistance supplement

In the province of Albacete, Spain, approximately 13,483 children and adolescents are receiving the Childhood Assistance Supplement (CAPI) linked to the Minimum Vital Income (IMV). Data from July 2026 from the National Social Security Institute indicates that this benefit reaches 7,224 households in the province, with an average monthly amount of 128.40 euros per family.

The total monthly expenditure for this supplement in Albacete is estimated at approximately 927,590 euros. The demographic breakdown shows that 9,427 beneficiaries are between 6 and 17 years old, representing nearly 70% of the total covered minors. Other age groups include 1,711 children under three and 2,345 children between the ages of three and five.

Payment amounts vary by age: 115 euros monthly for children under three, 80.50 euros for those aged three to five, and 57.50 euros for those aged six to 17. Additionally, more than 13,000 minors are direct beneficiaries of the IMV itself.
