Albacete and San Vicente del Raspeig launch school renovation works

In Albacete, Mayor Manuel Serrano visited the start of climate‑control upgrades at the José Serna public school. The municipality is investing more than €314,000 in the project, part of a €1.6 million programme to improve heating, ventilation and energy efficiency in four city schools.

In the Valencian town of San Vicente del Raspeig, construction of a new 400 m² gym with solar panels at the public CEIP L’Horta will begin in August. The €964,000 project, awarded to Abala Infraestructuras, is scheduled to last nine months and will not require relocating students, with noisy work limited to the summer break.

Both initiatives are funded primarily by local councils and align with regional plans to modernise school facilities and reduce energy consumption.
