Albacete Balompié appoints Joseba Etxeberria as new manager

Albacete Balompié has appointed Joseba Etxeberria as its new first-team manager through the end of the current season. The Basque coach succeeds Alberto González, who was dismissed following a 1-3 defeat against SD Eibar.

Albacete currently sits at the bottom of LaLiga Hypermotion, having secured only one point from 24 possible in the first eight matches. Etxeberria, who has extensive experience in the Second Division with clubs such as Tenerife, Mirandés, and Eibar, arrives with a tactical proposal focused on high pressure and verticality.

Etxeberria will be supported by assistant coach José Antonio Valle ‘Pitxi’ and fitness coach Javi González. He is scheduled to lead his first training session on Monday at the Ciudad Deportiva Andrés Iniesta before his official presentation at the Carlos Belmonte stadium.
