Municipalities and regional governments announce diverse public investments

Various municipal and provincial governments are implementing significant public investments across different sectors. In Spain, the Área Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) is managing 41 European-funded projects with a total budget of 243 million euros, focusing on climate action, mobility, and water cycles.

Social welfare initiatives are also seeing funding increases. The Diputación de Cuenca has allocated 400,000 euros to 52 social projects for vulnerable populations, while the Diputación de Albacete has awarded 150,000 euros to 25 social and health entities for 2026.

In the sports and infrastructure sector, Almuñécar is investing 229,000 euros in municipal sports facilities, and Huesca is incorporating the Peñas Center into its municipal sports network. Sant Martí Sesgueioles has also renovated its multi-sport court with support from the Diputació de Barcelona and the Generalitat de Catalunya.

In Argentina, the Municipality of Madariaga has awarded contracts totaling approximately 48 million pesos for the acquisition of disposable medical supplies and solutions to strengthen the Municipal Hospital.
