Albacete Fair celebrates 20th anniversary of Rapid Painting Contest

The Albacete Fair is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its “Rincones del Recinto Ferial” Outdoor Rapid Painting Contest. This special edition features a total prize pool of 6,000 euros, including a new 1,500 euro Special Prize sponsored by the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha to recognize the quality of the works presented.

In addition to the artistic competition, the event maintains a strong social commitment. The regional government will provide 3,000 euros, which will be split equally between the painting contest and Afanion, an association supporting families of children with cancer. This initiative follows a commitment made by provincial delegate Pedro Antonio Ruiz Santos to link cultural promotion with social solidarity.

Artists can register on the day of the contest, September 16, at the Templete del Recinto Ferial. Participants are tasked with capturing the various corners and atmospheres of the Fair grounds through their unique artistic perspectives.
