Cuenca residence ceded to DeporCuenca Foundation for athletes
The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced it will cede the ‘María de Molina’ university residence in Cuenca to the ‘DeporCuenca’ Foundation. This foundation is a joint initiative between Unión Balompédica Conquense and REBI Balonmano Cuenca.
The facility will serve as a residential resource for athletes, including youth players and new signings for various federated disciplines in the city. This move aims to provide strategic infrastructure to support local sports growth and promote the city's image.
During the official presentation of the REBI Cuenca squad for the 2026-2027 season, local authorities, including Vice President José Luis Martínez Guijarro and Cuenca Mayor Darío Dolz, reaffirmed their support for the handball club. The event also included tributes to former club president Isidoro Gómez Cavero and other key figures in the club's history.
