Albacete highlights regional craftsmanship and fashion sectors

The province of Albacete is highlighting its economic and cultural sectors through recent regional recognitions and industry events. During the 45th edition of Farcama, nine artisans from the province received regional awards. Notably, potter and ceramicist Rafael Cebrián was awarded the Medalla al Mérito Artesano, the highest honor in the category. Other recipients included masters in glassmaking, soap making, lace making, and woodworking.

In the fashion sector, the XI edition of AB Fashion was presented, focusing on the democratization of the industry by opening runway shows to the general public via ticket sales. Regional officials noted that Albacete is a vital economic driver for the region, accounting for 60% of the garments exported from Castilla-La Mancha. The event aims to promote tourism and showcase the intersection of fashion, design, and local craftsmanship.
