Albacete hosts XV National Inclusive Football 8 Championship

The XV National Inclusive Football 8 Championship has concluded in Albacete, organized by the Federation of Sports for People with Intellectual Disabilities of Castilla-La Mancha (FECAM). The event brought together approximately 400 participants, including 30 teams from 22 clubs representing up to seven autonomous communities.

During the closing ceremony, Provincial Deputy Llanos Sánchez praised FECAM for its work in normalizing access to sports for all individuals regardless of their abilities. She highlighted the importance of families, technical staff, clubs, and volunteers in supporting the athletes. The Diputación de Albacete currently maintains a 25,000 euro collaboration agreement with the federation to support its sporting activities, with an increase in funding being considered for the following year.
