Albacete Institute extends deadline for 2027 History Congress

The Instituto de Estudios Albacetenses (IEA) ‘Don Juan Manuel’ has extended the deadline for submitting research abstracts for the III Congress of the History of the Province of Albacete. The new deadline for receiving communication proposals is October 30, 2026.

Scheduled to take place from April 6 to 9, 2027, the congress serves as a key event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the IEA's foundation. While titled as a history congress, the event is designed to be multidisciplinary, welcoming contributions from the social sciences and humanities to provide a comprehensive view of the province's evolution and social realities.

This third edition continues a tradition established by previous congresses held in 1983 and 2000, marking the return of a major provincial scientific meeting after more than 25 years.
