Albacete officials pledge hospitality sector support at Santa Marta celebration

During the Santa Marta patron saint festivities on 29 July, Albacete's provincial council representatives José González (Social Area) and Raquel Ruiz (Tourism) attended a dinner with the Asociación Provincial de Empresarios de Hostelería y Turismo de Albacete (APEHT). They thanked retiring members and highlighted the council's commitment to the hospitality sector, noting a €100,000 investment to promote tourism, reduce seasonality, modernise facilities, and support training, as well as €420,000 in aid programmes for infrastructure, caravan sites and wine routes.

Mayor Manuel Serrano also addressed the gathering, praising local hoteliers for driving historic tourism growth in 2025 and expressing confidence in continued expansion in 2026. He underscored the sector's role in the city's brand, employment and economic development, and reaffirmed municipal support for APEHT’s initiatives.
