Albacete Reopens Children’s Library with Summer Workshops

The Albacete City Council’s Education and Libraries department, represented by councilor Pascual Molina, attended the first of a series of free summer workshops that mark the reopening of the Biblioteca Infantil inside Parque Abelardo Sánchez. The venue, long‑unused after a nearby library opened, will host eight Saturday sessions from early July through 26 September, offering crafts, storytelling, nature activities and painting for children aged 4‑12 (younger children must be accompanied). Each workshop runs in two daily slots (11:00 – 12:15) and is limited to 15 participants per session. Interested families can register by phone or e‑mail.

The programme, titled “La casita de los libros”, aims to promote reading, respect for nature, sustainability and artistic creation among local youngsters, continuing a tradition that has introduced generations of Albacete children to literature.
