Albacete to host 30th Mycology Week in November

The city of Albacete will celebrate the 30th edition of the Mycology Week, organized by the Universidad Popular, from November 9 to 14. The event features a diverse program including exhibitions, photography, lectures, and educational activities designed to promote knowledge of the local environment.

The program begins on November 9 with the opening of the ‘No todas son iguales’ exhibition at the Casa de la Cultura José Saramago. This exhibition will showcase mushrooms, photographs, books, and drawings, including resin mushroom collections from the Museo de la Biodiversidad de Ibi. Additionally, award-winning entries from the Mycology Photography Contest will be displayed at the Botanical Garden starting November 12.

Guided tours of the exhibition are scheduled for November 10 and 11, with reservations available via telephone. The event is a collaborative effort involving the Albacete Mycology Society, the Botanical Garden of Castilla-La Mancha, and several other regional institutions.
