Albania and Kosovo host large cultural festivals showcasing heritage and arts
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama promoted the seventh edition of “Mokra n’Fest 2026” scheduled for 8 August at the Stone Bridge in Golik. The event aims to highlight the Mokra region’s cultural legacy, traditional music, folk dances, and local cuisine, positioning the area as a tourism and heritage destination.
From 21 to 27 July, Prizren in Kosovo opened the fifth edition of PrizrenFest, an international open‑air theatre festival. The programme features over 250 artists from around the world, including the opening performance “Borderless Body” on the Lumbardh River, and productions such as Brazil’s “Scream in the Dark” and the Turkish National Theatre’s “Lysistrata”. Organisers stress the festival’s role in fostering artistic dialogue, cultural memory, and inclusive urban spaces.
