Albania national team announces Nations League squad

Albania national football team coach Rolando Maran has announced a 29-player squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign. The team is set to face Belarus, Finland, and San Marino in Group C.

Key selections include the return of goalkeeper Etrit Berisha, following an injury to Thomas Strakosha. New call-ups include Sabah Kerjota and Samuele Sina. However, the squad notably excludes Armando Broja and Nedim Bajram; Maran stated that while their current situations influenced the selection, the door remains open for them in the future.

Regarding the upcoming fixtures, Albania will host Belarus on September 26. Due to ongoing UEFA sanctions against Belarus following the invasion of Ukraine, the return leg scheduled for November 15 will be played in Hungary behind closed doors, without fans or a home stadium for the Belarusian side.
