Albanian and Kosovar cultural heritage showcased in international events

The Albanian National Film Festival has returned to Tirana after a 14-year hiatus. The event honors cinematic legends such as Reshat Arbana and Roza Anagnosti with career achievement awards. While the festival aims to bridge generations of filmmakers, it has faced criticism regarding organizational errors and the lack of adequate infrastructure and promotion for the domestic film industry.

In the Netherlands, Albania and Kosovo presented their shared cultural heritage at the 2026 Embassy Festival in The Hague. The joint exhibition featured traditional foods, wines, and musical performances by the Dardanët Ensemble to promote regional identity and tourism.

In Wil, Switzerland, the ‘Road of Faiths’ initiative brought approximately 100 participants together for an interfaith event. The program included visits to Catholic, Muslim, and Protestant sites to foster dialogue and coexistence through shared learning and discussion.
