Albania advances EU integration and announces administrative reforms

Albania has reached a significant milestone in its European Union integration process by closing Chapter 20, which concerns enterprise and industrial policy. The Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) has approved an Intergovernmental Conference to formalize this progress, scheduled to take place in Luxembourg on October 13, 2026.

In tandem with international integration, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced domestic administrative reforms.
