Italian travel show “Turisti per Caso” documented a seven‑day journey from Orikum to Porto Palermo, praising the Vlorë Gulf, the panoramic SH8 coastal road, beaches such as Dhërmi and Himara, and historic sites like Zvërnec Monastery, Kanina Castle and Porto Palermo Castle. The report highlighted the region’s low accommodation and food costs, the flavour of local dishes such as lamb, fresh fish, cheese and the traditional trileçe dessert, and recommended Albania as a spring‑time destination away from mass tourism.
