Albania marks several significant developments in education and academia. Historian and scholar Professor Hajredin Isufi has passed away. Born in 1932 in the Çamëri region, Isufi was a prominent academic who specialized in the history of Çamëri and national issues, leaving behind an extensive body of documented research and books.

In education policy, Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro has announced new regulations for the 2026-2027 school year. Key measures include a strict ban on mobile phones during lessons and the implementation of a new Code of Ethics for teachers, security officers, and psychosocial service workers.

Additionally, the expansion of the ‘Smart City’ project will involve the use of intelligent cameras in schools to enhance security. These cameras will be monitored by the Monitoring Center in coordination with the State Police, following a pilot program in Tirana and Kamza.
